This wine is the result of a careful selection of red grapes coming from centenary vineyards of the Mencia, Garnacha Tintorera, Tempranillo and Merenzao varieties. It is indeed the reflection of the genuine Valdeorras plots and it is only produced during extraordinary vintages.
Variety: Red wine. Mencia, Garnacha, Tintorera, Tempranillo and Merenzao
Alcohol content: 14.80% vol.
Origin: Valdeorras DO
Production process: The aging process takes place in French and American oak barrels for 8 months, which adds deep reminiscences of spices and the plot where vineyards are planted (tobacco, graphite, chocolate, etc.). Its mouth is excellently structured; it is powerful but fresh, with very mature and concentrated tannins, pure fruit royal jelly. Long-lasting palate and heart. Decantation: 0 to 1 hour.
Tasting notes: Covered with a top layer of cherry colour, with a cardinal’s frame. Very intense nose, complex and deep, with powerful aromas reminding of black fruit jam (blackberries, blackcurrants, plums, blueberries, redcurrants and honey) and a background with talc and rose petals notes.
Alcohol content: 14.80 %
